Nestled within Perth’s desirable northern coastal suburbs, Karrinyup is renowned for its family-friendly atmosphere, established streetscapes, and convenient access to beaches, schools, and lifestyle amenities. As families grow and their needs evolve, many homeowners choose to enhance their existing properties rather than leave the community they have come to love.
This project was completed for returning clients who had previously entrusted La Vera Building & Management with work on their home. Having experienced our commitment to quality workmanship, communication, and service firsthand, they approached us again to help transform their property into a home better suited to their family’s future needs.
The existing residence no longer provided the space and functionality required for their growing household. Working closely with the clients, we designed and constructed a seamless extension that blended effortlessly with the original home while significantly increasing its liveability. The scope of works included the addition of two new bedrooms, a new bathroom, and the extension of the existing master bedroom to create a larger and more comfortable retreat. Externally, the project incorporated a new carport and driveway, enhancing both practicality and street appeal.
The extension was constructed using a timber-framed structure with fibre cement cladding, carefully finished and detailed to complement the existing brick and rendered façade. This approach allowed the new additions to integrate seamlessly with the original home, creating a cohesive appearance that looks as though it has always been part of the property.
Completed in just under six months, the project showcases how thoughtful design and quality construction can transform an existing home without the need to relocate. The result is a spacious, modern family residence that meets the clients’ current lifestyle requirements while adding long-term value to their property. By choosing to extend rather than move, the owners were able to remain in the neighbourhood they love while enjoying a home designed to support their family for many years to come.
